Saturday the local Krishna Temple put on their yearly Festival of Colors. I went last year and had a great time and I made sure that I went again this year. Last year there were an estimated 3,000 and this year a big whoopin 10,000 showed up. Amy and I could hardly believe the traffic as we got off the freeway. People were parked up to two miles away from the temple. They sold about four times amount of colors than they did last year (almost 20,000 bags). The festival is their way of saying goodbye winter and welcoming spring.

The temple was off grounds for colors to be thrown, which made a good place to take pictures safely and stay clean.

From my view point, on top of the temple, the colors were beautiful.

I saw these guys with the gas masks before the colors were thrown and I thought it was a little funny looking, but I can differently see that they were probably the few guys that were spared their clothes being ruined.

Here is the video that I made from last year's Festival of Colors. If you take a look in the crowd and compare them to the pictures I took this year you'll see the difference in size of the event.
I had a really enjoyable time this year. I graduate in April, so I think this may be my last Festival of Colors, because I'm not sure that I'll have another opportunity somewhere else. Hopefully I'll make a trip over to India and be able to compare the festival to how they do it.
