Commercial Shapes

After church today I went down town to meet up with my friends, but before I met up with them I got off the metro early to walk around downtown to see if I could get any sweet pictures and was I surprised. I found some people that were filming a commercial and I took advantage of the opportunity to take more pictures. It was really fun and I am excited to bring these pictures to you.

As I was taking these pictures I was really amazed at what I was seeing. I couldn't believe the strenght and control this lady had. I was just glad that I was able to watch and take pictures.

Skateboarding in Santiago, Chile

Bystanders, photographers, skateboarders and futures skateboarder alike came out today to Parque de los Reyes to see what was going on in the new public skate park. The park is full of obstacles that have caught the attention of even the Argentines. My friend Tomate and 12 friends came from Argentina to skate this park. They tell that it has been worth going the distance.

Ms. Springolator's Photo Shoot

This weekend a really good friend of mine from Argentina arrived here in Santiago to come visit me. I've known Tomate since I first lived in Argentina years ago, and we have kept in contact on and off since then. He is really into photography like me and he was looking into buying a new camera, but they cost almost double what they cost in the US. So I bought a Canon Rebel XT and brought it down for him. As I gave him his new camera he was eager to dive right in and start taking pictures. Before I arrived he had been playing pool with this Australian lady and she said that we could take pictures of her if we'd like. So here is the result of last night's photo shoot with Ms. Springolator.

Vineyard along the way

For those of you that drink wine might be familiar with Chile because there are many vineyards. The drive to and from Concepcion was great because of all the wonderful colors the vineyards created. We stopped at this vineyard on the way back to eat some great food and thankfully it gave me the opportunity to photograph some of what I enjoyed the whole drive. Enjoy this next series of pictures.

Concepcion - Coastline

Our last night there we went to a restaurant that had a magnificent view of the coast. All throughout dinner I admired the view and knew I just had to capture it. Once I did that I realized that I had to get closer to the water to help you fully appreciate the scenery. ENJOY!

Luckily everyone that I was traveling with knows that I am very passionate about my photography and waited for me while I hiked down to the water to get these last few.

I always enjoy taking pictures of the sunset and also the sunrise. It's a time for reflection upon all the wonderful gifts that God has given us on this earth. May we all enjoy what we have been given.
