The main industry in the South of Chile is the lumber industry. They harvest trees as we harvest corn, it takes 15 years till they can cut them, but it was interesting to see rows of trees as I would see rows of sunflowers. I am down here doing an internship for a company that has a moulding plant down here in Concepcion and here are some of the pictures. It was really interesting to see the process of how they bring in these logs and then three weeks later they ship out nice pine mouldings.

This is where they prime some of the mouldings.

As we walked through the plant I couldn't walk by with out taking this picture, as it just caught my eye.
The next morning I walked around the neighborhood and took some pictures of these lovely flowers.

I really liked this bridge and I am glad that I was able to take a picture of it before we left town. As I was taking the pictures I noticed that there was a man on the horizon walking down the line in the middle. I was a little annoyed that he was in my picture, but I have since come to appreciate the picture even more. I can't help but wonder what this man was think as he was making this walk. Had he made this walk his whole life and ever since he was a boy always walked the line? Was he enjoying the breeze ... or was he a homeless drunk that was still feeling the effect of the night before? Whatever he was thinking I hope he enjoyed his walk as much as I enjoyed taking his picture from a distant.
