Chile: Talagante

Happy Mother's Day to all of my readers that are mothers. Here in the Chile mother's day actually falls on a May 10th, but everyone celebrates it on the second Sunday of the month of May. I went with the family I live with to their house that they are building outside of Santiago. Before we left I took this picture of their dog.

When we got there we walked around and suddlenly behind us we here a "thumpt" ... a bird had flown into the window. Luckly it didn't break it's neck as some birds do, but I was able to take it's picture as it regained conscienceness.

I drove up with Ximena (pronounced He-Men-Ah) and her really close friend Alba. They are both full of time and great to be around. Ximena treats me as a son and has been taking real good care of me while I have been living with her.

Walking around I found plenty of things to take pictures of.

This little spider sure gave the girls a scare.

We came across this little duck swimming in the canal.

Chile is well known for their wine and their vineyards. These grapes seemed to have been neglected as most of the grapes have already been gathered to make wine.

I was happy nonetheless to be able to take some pictures.

To close the evening we had a wonderful sunset

I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend and are ready to get back to work tomorrow. Let me know which pictures you liked.
