Beaches of Vina del Mar

I love the beach and I am happy to bring to you pictures of the beach. I lived in Hawaii for eight months and being in Vina del Mar really made me realize how much I miss the beach and living close to the beach. The water was too cold to go in, but I enjoyed just being close. As I took pictures and the waves crashed near me I felt the misty of the waves on my face and I was overcome with the feeling of peace that the beach brings. Enjoy these pictures.

Sights of Vina del Mar

I bring to you some of the sights of Vina del Mar. It's a wonderful place and as you can see I have found many things to photograph, so as always I am happy to share with you.

This building was really curious as it's kinda like the old meets the new. I think that the city has laws that they can't destory the old buildings, I found it interesting that they would simply build a new one in it.

We paid 20 cents to get pulled up the mountain rather than walking the stairs - I thought it was worth .

The lines on the board walk were great and it was something that I couldn't pass by.

People of Vina del Mar

I always enjoy traveling and seeing the beauty that this world has to offer. This next set of pictures is from Vina del Mar, which is a lovely beach town ... well ok not so much a town but rather a city. It is Chile's fourth largest city with a population over 320,000. I couldn't help but capture some of the faces that I saw while roaming the streets and beaches.

As this picture and the next I enjoyed the sights and tried to take everything in and enjoy the memories that I was creating.

As I look at this picture it really appears that I added him to the picture after the fact using photoshop, but I promise you that this is the real deal - it's really amazing here.

The lighting was low for this picture as we climbed the many stairs to the lookout point. I was a little disappointed at the time I took this picture, because it appeared blurry, which it is, but I like how his face stayed in focus.

As we were walking through the city of Valparaiso, we went to various lookout points and there were couples at each lookout point. As I came across this couple of knew I had to try to capture the moment that they were in ... I guess it's fair to say that I miss Amy.

Chile: Estacion Central

I have had a busy weekend, and I have taken many pictures and I have a lot to share with everyone. My Argentine friend Tomate decided to stay another weekend and I was able to take off Friday to hang out with him. We went with the family I am living with to Vina del Mar and Valparaiso for the weekend. I have many pictures to share like I did when I went to Concepcion, so I have decided to split them up into different blogs so I can share more, so get ready to receive pictures all week long.

Friday morning Tomate and I had some time before we left at 1:00 so we decided to take advantage of the morning and go to central station and take some pictures.

Sunday I went back to the park to visit some friends after being in downtown and getting those last pictures. Night shots are always a challenge for me as I don't use a very good flash. Enjoy these next pictures at the park.

It's always fun watching skateboarders and taking pictures of them. It is a very hard sport and a real challenge to photograph. I skated for five years and have since stopped, but I'll never be able to forget where I've come from.
